About
A Bit of Background
A Way Out was founded by Kennth Lee McKinney II (Kenny) and Kenneth McKinney Sr. Kenneth Sr. started an after-school program in Fulton, MS. The program allowed kids to stay after school to work on schoolwork or play in the gym until their parents were off work. Kenneth Sr. played sports in Fulton and held records for many years. Kenny was an athlete himself, earning accolades such as MS HS Division 1-4A Player of the Year and back to back MS JUCO State & Regional Championships. Kenny also played basketball in the USVI (Virgin Island) where he met a lot of young talented athletes. Many who did not see a future in their sport because no one would fly out to the USVI to see them play. That is where the idea for the revamp of the program originated. Our ultimate goals are to have enough student athletes in different areas to create AAU teams and similar programs to gain exposure, provide safe recreational areas, and be able to give scholarships.

AWOP, Inc. is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Training
The Best You
At AWOP, Inc., we are dedicated to giving our student-athletes the best chance at excelling at the next level. Our trainers will target and assist our student-athletes on honing and enhancing their skills. This 1 hour and 30 minute service will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Introducing our AAU Club:
Mississippi Falcons
The Mississippi Falcons (MSF) is a low-cost AAU Club that will travel. The MSF is a subsidiary of its parent company A WAY OUT PROGRAM INCORPORATED 501(c)(3).
We are committed to our youth in our community and communities throughout MS. Through the arduous work of our D.I.R. Directors and C.O.O.R. Leaders we provide a low-cost avenue for parents to give their youth an opportunity to travel and compete against competitors from various states. providing travel expenses, food, uniforms, equipment, etc. for our student athletes at no cost; MADE POSSIBLE BY donations and sponsors.

We are a sports club trying to provide an avenue to provide a safe, healthy environment for our student athletes to grow and gain exposure to their talents. These funds will help provide with league entry fees and travel costs. We are also looking for at least two buses/vans.
We are a 501(c)(3) certified organization.
